About dha (docosahexaenoic acid)

What it is

DHA is a structural fat in cell membranes, particularly in the brain and retina. It’s commonly included in prenatal supplements.

Label tip

Algae-based products often list much more DHA than EPA; fish oils usually list more EPA than DHA. Neither ratio is universally “better” — it depends on what you are comparing for.
