How SuppScout Compares Products
Four steps, and a few rules we never break.
1. Search
Find an ingredient, a form, a product or a question — “creatine gummies vs powder” works as well as “magnesium”.
2. Compare
See forms, label amounts, other ingredients, testing information and value side by side, on the same basis.
3. Verify
Every fact carries its source type: manufacturer claim, SuppScout calculation, published research or third-party certification.
4. Decide
If a product seems appropriate for you, visit the merchant. If you have a medical condition, take medications, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to a healthcare professional first.
Rules we follow
- No invented data. If a field isn’t known, we show “Not verified” or “Not stated”.
- No single health score. We show factual indicators — ingredient transparency, testing information, price per serving, label completeness, verified certifications and ingredient count.
- Calculations show their work. Price ÷ servings = price per serving; cost per standardized amount uses the Supplement Facts amount.
- No universal winners. Comparisons explain differences and who might look at each option.
- Certifications are verified in the certifier’s listing, with the date checked, or they’re labeled as claims.
