About magnesium chloride
What it is
Magnesium chloride dissolves readily in water. Orally, it is used in liquid drops and some tablets. It is also sold as bath flakes and “magnesium oil” sprays.
What the research says
Oral chloride is soluble and absorbed reasonably well. Evidence that topical magnesium meaningfully raises body magnesium is weak; treat skin-applied products as unproven for that purpose.
